ARSIG is a Russian diskless router distribution based on Openwall GNU/*/Linux (Owl). ARSIG is adapted to work on a read-only filesystem and boots from a (256 Mb) flash card. All components of the filesystem that need write access are mounted in RAM.

This router can work well through many-many years, as it contains no spinning parts, except for the coolers in the power supply and CPU. Version 1.0_pre01 (PHDS) was released January 4, 2003.
