Al CES 2009 di Las Vegas Sony ha presentato il suo primo netbook, che verrà identificato con la serie P. Questo sub-notebook avrà uno schermo da 8 pollici, con una mostruosa risoluzione di 1600×768 pixel!
Il processore è un Intel Atom Z530 (1.6 GHz, 512 kb di cache L2, FSB 533 MHz), RAM da 2 GB, Windows Vista integrato e un hard disk a scelta tra un 60GB standard e 64/128 GB della versione SSD (Solid State Drive, stessa tecnologia impiegata nelle microSD, per esempio).
Avrà inoltre il GPS integrato e un peso notevole: solamente 635 grammi!
