Caratterizzato da soluzioni e target di riferimento identici a quelli del fratello minore Asus EeePC S101, l’ultrasottile Asus EeePC S121 andrà ad occupare il vertice dell’offerta di netbook della famiglia E3, con uno schermo LCD da 12.1 pollici, una tastiera di dimensioni standard ed un design raffinato, in grado di competere con il segmento degli ultraportatili più esclusivi.

Asus Eee PC S121 è il primo netbook da 12 pollici realizzato da Asus e rappresenta una sorta di cambiamento di rotta per l’azienda, che finora aveva ritenuto opportuno contenere i laptop low cost entro il confine dei display da 10 pollici.

La molteplicità dei materiali impiegati per l’Eee PC S121,dalla pelle,alle varie leghe metalliche, non consente di incastonarlo nella categoria dei netbook senza qualche difficoltà. Eppure, se come si suppone fosse simile a quella del modello da 10 pollici, la dotazione hardware tradirebbe la stretta parentela con il mondo dei laptop a basso costo.
